Franklin School of Innovation – Visioning Meeting
I am late getting this post out, but we really enjoyed our visioning meeting on July 25th with members of the board, parents, and other interested people for the Franklin School of Innovation. We received a lot of interesting feedback. We received confirmation on a variety of issues (flexibility, adaptability, efficiency of space) and we had a good discussion on the tension between privacy and collaboration. We also heard that the building needs to have a variety of spaces that are always used; the school cannot build spaces that sit empty most of the day. Every space should be multi-purpose, and there will be less need for some traditional dedicated spaces (the entire school is a multi-media center).
